As early as 1816, My Elisha Chism and his wife Wenny or also known as Winnifred was in Lawrence county, Ark. 1820 on the census, Elisha died in intestate and someone appointed his wife Wenny as administer. The will named one child Washington Childers. I can help but think I am related to this line? Elisha was in the same county in Lawrence as Ignatious and Dennis. Do you happen to know anything about this line. There also was a Benjamin Chism born 1798, married Polly Walker, I believe he was a son of Elisha. Polly Walker was a daughter of John Walker and Blair. Your Chisholm's left for Oklahoma and my line stayed. They were in Independence,
Izard, Searcy and Pope county, Arkansas.
Can you shed some light on these families? Vickie |
